Dear Bean,

I too have a feud with a neighboring cat, we'll call him "Henry". I feel powerless to fight him because my human won't let me out. I wish I could sneak out to give him a swift kick in the pituty. What do you think I should do? I am torn between my devotion to my human (who keeps me flush with liver treats), and escaping to TCB -- take care of bidness.

Dear Torn,

I too have faced your dilemma. My humans do give me treats and toys and so I am semi-loyal to them. I have found that they are far more loyal to me, and if you escape to take on your nemisis, your humans will take you back with open arms. I once pushed a screen window out to chase my nemesis up a tree and my humans gave me treats for a job well done because my man-human shares my hate of my nemesis. Have hope little cowcat.
